One of the areas where I believe First Central is special is the very accessible and engaged executive and leadership team, who are open to questions, support and advice from all levels in our business. So in that sense, the opportunity to ask for direct career advice or development support is always there informally and actively encouraged.
We have the large majority of our senior leaders who are part of our internal mentoring programme, where we dedicate time to help our mentees with a whole range of subjects and topics, and we have a number of leadership development programmes where our existing leaders are heavily involved.
Through our active talent & potential management we also proactively identify opportunities where colleagues can benefit from working on opportunities in other parts of our business, and we are about to launch a platform that enables colleagues to nominate themselves on our career hub for development 'gigs'.
Finally we have some fantastic networks; one of the stand-outs for me, is our fabulous Women in leadership network, who provide advice and guidance through their own experiences of progressing their careers, to others.
