We are promoting diversity in a multitude of ways at First Central. This year we introduced our colleague led Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Communities which seek to discuss and create initiatives for a range of subjects - including but not limited to: Gender, Age, Ethnicity, Socio-Economic Background, Disability, Neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+, Religion and Life Stage. These communities come up with ideas on how we can better support our diverse workforce. They also create educational and engaging communications about these topics to help foster our inclusive workplace.
From a strategy level, we have signed the Women in Finance Charter and have committed to have 40% of Women in Leadership by 2025 on our Company Strategy on a Page, a target for which we are already nearly there! We also have a target around our employee engagement score for Diversity and Inclusion of which is currently the highest performing metric and is in the top 10% of Finance sector on the platform.
We are further developing our Gender Pay reporting to include Ethnicity and also looking at innovative ways to cross analyse our diversity data with attrition, learning opportunities and promotions to ensure we do not have any unintended bias within our colleague development processes.
